Tekton Capital Tekton
Practice

We originate, we build, and we hold what we build.

Tekton Capital is a holding company that makes its own opportunities. We are not an adviser and we do not manage other people's money. Every company on our register is one we helped bring into existence and funded ourselves. Three things, done with conviction.

i.Originating

Situations, not mandates.

We do not wait for work to arrive. We study a sector until we can see the company that ought to exist within it — an underserved customer, a capability sitting in the wrong hands, a market shifting faster than its incumbents.

Then we find the operators. The right opening in the wrong hands is worth nothing; most of our origination work is a search for the two or three people who can carry a business we have only imagined.

Study
Sector work, carried out on our own account.
Situation
An opening we can describe precisely.
Operators
Pairing the right people with the right opening.
Conviction
We proceed only where we would fund it ourselves.
ii.Building

Companies, from scratch.

We incorporate the company, capitalise it, assemble its first team, and shape its earliest decisions — the ones that are cheap to make well and expensive to unmake. The founding work is done by the people who will still be there afterwards.

Then we hand it the keys. Our role narrows deliberately as the company's own leadership grows into the work, until we are simply a shareholder who happens to know the business unusually well.

Formation
Incorporation, capitalisation, first hires.
Foundations
Structure, governance and early decisions.
Momentum
Close involvement through the first chapters.
Handover
A deliberate step back as leadership matures.
iii.Holding

Our own balance sheet, held for the long term.

Every position is funded with Tekton Capital's own capital. We do not raise, pool or manage third-party money, we operate no fund, and we do not offer securities to the public. That is a deliberate constraint: it keeps us small, slow to commit, and free of any clock but the business's own.

We are owners rather than allocators — concentrated, patient, and close to the operating reality of each company. We sit with the businesses we hold, not above them.

Capital
Our own balance sheet; no third-party fund.
Focus
Concentrated positions in businesses we built.
Horizon
Long, and unconstrained by a fund's life.
Involvement
Board-level ownership, not day-to-day control.
The surest way to be useful to a company is to own part of it.
